Ashford Snowdogs sold at Auction raise £142,000 for Pilgrims Hospice

A gala event was held on Monday 4th December at Ashford International Hotel to celebrate the end of a 10 week art trail that saw children and adults alike delight in searching for 35 Snowdogs and 19 Snowpups throughout Ashford.

The Snowdogs, all designed by local artists and sponsored by businesses, were sold at auction and raised a massive £142,000 for the Pilgrims Hospice. Our Chartway/Westerhill sponsored 2 Tone Ska Dog, designed by well-known local artist John Simms, one of the original designers of 2 Tone graphics, who raised a fantastic £5,200.

The evening also saw Mr Doodle’s Doodle Dog raise an incredible £15,000 and Emily Firmin’s Bagdogg sell for £9,000.

The 10 weeks Art Trail has been a partnership between Ashford Borough Council, Wild in Art and Pilgrims Hospices, and the Snowdogs, which has seen 19 Snowpups designed and decorated by 19 schools across the borough.

We are proud to have been part of raising the much-needed funds for the Hospice and engaging with the local community and businesses alike.
