Chartway Group builds new brand identity

Chartway Group, one of Kent’s leading construction firms, has brought together its stable companies under a new integrated group structure, illustrated with a fresh brand identity.

Chartway Group, which is a privately owned, independent developer and building contractor, has seen unprecedented growth since it was established in 2009. The new group structure, which has been created to support the company’s next phase of growth, will see the current managing director and company founder, Ian Savage, become Group Chief Executive Officer, whilst co-founder and Director, Phillip Cunningham, will step down from the business to take retirement. Andrew Shankster, currently Managing Director of Westerhill Homes, will, in addition, become Managing Director of Chartway Construction.

The group’s multi-brand structure provides services in both the residential housing market through Westerhill Homes. In contrast, a one-stop construction service to clients, including housing associations, local authorities, and private developers, is offered via Chartway Construction, which will have its own identity for the first time.

The new brand identity, created by Kent company, Bison, demonstrates strength, depth, and breadth across the group. The Westerhill Homes and Chartway Construction logos mirror the parent company logo, Chartway Group, helping to create visual cohesion of its unified offering.

Chartway Group, which employs around 165 staff from its base in Coxheath, Kent, and last year posted pre-tax profits of £4.9million with a growth of 56 per cent, will also be unveiling a new company website showcasing the experience and expertise available across the group.

Ian Savage, Group CEO, said: “The company’s growth and performance has continued to go from strength-to-strength and the new, integrated structure will allow the business to evolve. The group’s fresh brand gives the business a unifying identity, helping to create a stand-out proposition in a very competitive sector, further establishing our market-leading service to our clients. “My co-founder, Phillip Cunningham, leaves the business in good shape, and I would like to thank him for his phenomenal contribution, which has been critical to the success of the Chartway Group to date.”

The new brand will be rolled out across all digital and physical touchpoints, including company vehicles and websites, over the coming weeks.
