First time buyer event for Heron Fields

Aspiring homeowners looking to get that first step on the property ladder are being invited to a special first-time buyer event on February 24th at Connell’s estate agent in Sittingbourne for the nearby Heron Fields development.

The event aims to attract first time buyers who had not previously considered buying a new home, but with the government-backed Help to Buy Equity Loan Scheme available on many of the properties at Heron Fields, first-time buyers can make their move with just a 5% deposit.

Set on the fringes of open countryside, Heron Fields is a development of three and four bedroomed terraced, semi-detached and detached homes with landscaped gardens at Great Easthall.  Situated alongside community playing fields with amenities, including the new Lakeview Village Hall, the community is starting to take root.

Independent financial advisers will be on hand during the day to explain the different aspects of buying your first home, as well as offering free, private consultations.

Heron Fields is the flagship development from Hyde New Homes and Westerhill Homes, constructed by Westerhill Homes’ sister company, Chartway Group.  The homes have all been designed to create a distinctive identity for the neighbourhood, with a number of individual house styles, blending traditional Kentish architecture with red brick and white timber-style cladding. Each property has been designed to maximise space, with light and airy designs and built-in wardrobes to the master bedroom.  The homes all come with turfed gardens, timber sheds, rotary dryers and home composter bins, included as standard.

Each home is finished to a high specification, with individually-designed kitchens from Paula Rosa, including integrated Indesit appliances.  Depending on stage of the build, buyers may also be given the option to choose from a range of kitchen units, personalise floor and wall tiles and chose carpets.

There are a number of well-established schools nearby, such as Murton Infants, alongside Independent and Grammar Schools, with both Borden CoE, Rodmersham Primary School, and Eastlands School rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

Heron Fields is positioned on the peaceful suburban outskirt of Sittingbourne, just a short drive from the town centre, which is currently undergoing a significant multimillion-pound regeneration.  Many new amenities are planned in the heart of the town, including an extensive leisure quarter with a multiplex cinema, family restaurants, hotel, multi-story car park and retail park.  Sittingbourne National Rail Station offers a high-speed rail connection to St Pancras via Ebbsfleet in as little as 58 minutes, as well as regular rail services to London Victoria and Cannon Street Station in the City of London in around 70 minutes.

A selection of three and four bedroom homes are available to buy, with prices starting at £327,000, plus the government-backed Help to Buy Equity Loan Scheme is available, meaning that these homes can be purchased against a deposit of as little as 5%.
