We are rolling out our Chartway DNA Program to ensure best practice on our sites.

As part of our Group commitment to continually review and improve our processes and standards, we are rolling out a new suite of processes to our site teams to ensure we meet our exacting standards of safety, build and best practice.

We’ve introduced a new methods standards scoring system and each stage of The build is inspected and marked against set criteria on a monthly visit by our Quality Manager. Scoring is carried out on infrastructure, storage on site, walkways, site presentation, quality of brickwork and pointing, plumbing, electrical installations, finishing off around pipes, internal finishes and right through to final external and internal presentation of a build complete home.

The scoring process is a part of our own internal quality assurance processes. Based on a colour coded system each site must reach a minimum of the level required by the NHBC, and we are working towards a higher Group standard.

We are encouraging our site teams to share best practice and where they propose new ideas, we will review them with a view to using them if they prove to be advantageous to increasing our standards.

Andrew Shankster MD at Chartway Construction said ‘Our Chartway DNA Program is the latest in our ongoing quality assurance improvement process, and we are delighted that the response from our teams on site has been so positive. We take quality very seriously, from the first spade in the ground, to a customer stepping through the front door of their new home for the first time, each stage is vitally important to the finished product being one which we are proud to handover. Our reputation depends on satisfied customers and we are committed to continuous evaluation and improvement to reach the high standards we set’.
