Chartway Group pledges charity funds boost

Leading Kent construction company Chartway Group will donate £100 to Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance for every new Westerhill home sold, kicking off this June.

Westerhill Homes, the residential division of the Chartway Group, have a wide range of properties for sale, with the recently launched development at Conningbrook Lakes in Ashford offering 300 lakeside homes alongside more established developments at Heron Fields in Sittingbourne, Kent. A number of new sites across the county, including 74 new homes at Linden Farm in Coxheath, are due to be launched in the coming months.

Westerhill Homes Sales Manager Mary-Anne Staddon commented: “We achieved nearly 30 completions across our sites last month, and with more properties now on offer and some exciting developments in the pipeline registering expressions of interest, we’re expecting demand to be high and sales and completions to be busy – meaning a great charity payday for Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance.”

Chartway Group also supports the charity Homeless Care, which runs the Maidstone Day Centre, as part of its annual support of good causes within the county. The company will also be running a number of charitable events and fun days across the year to raise funds for both charities. Chartway Group, which currently employs some 165 people, also offers staff the opportunity to volunteer their time in support of one of the company’s chosen charities.

The money raised by Chartway Group will help Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance to save lives. Their crews bring advanced, specialist care out of the hospital and directly to critically ill and injured patients – wherever and whenever it is needed.

Ian Savage, Chartway Group CEO, said: “This exciting initiative will help raise important funds for Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance and as we are expecting a very busy year for sales in our Westerhill Homes division, I’m delighted that the charity will benefit.”

Julie Clare, Head of Corporate Relations at Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, said: “As an independent charity, we rely on donations and fundraising, so every penny is truly valued. None of us ever know when we might need to depend on this vital service, which is why we are delighted to have the support of Chartway Group.”
