At Chartway Group, we believe that apprentices are an invaluable part of our business. Our apprenticeship programme provides a platform for people to gain industry related experience on the job whilst studying for a qualification. In fact, a number of our senior staff started as apprentices themselves. Since 2014, we’ve had 14 apprentices working and learning in our business, and a further six existing staff taking up our development programme.

Having joined the Chartway Group in July 2019 on a work experience placement, Abi practiced in the vast day-to-day activities of the business, which led her to start an apprenticeship role in September 2019.
Now over two years on, Abi has learnt a plethora of new skills that have supporter her academic studies and enabled her to join our Commercial Team as a trainee.
At Westerhill Homes we are committed to offering our Trainee Scheme to enthusiastic and motivated people who want to work in the construction industry.
For India our newest Trainee, joining the Westerhill Homes sales team was the perfect match for her skill-set, and her love of meeting and working with customers.
Having previously completed a Retail Customer Service Apprenticeship with a leading High Street retailer and progressing to the role of Supervisor, she realised she wasn’t on the right career path and was keen to move into a different industry.
India says “ I really wanted to find a career path where I could see myself progressing. Joining Westerhill Homes as a Trainee Sales Executive has been so rewarding. I have a great trainer who is incredibly supportive and has been willing to share all her knowledge about the job with me. I am now dealing with customers by myself and my confidence and knowledge are increasing. I love being able to talk to customers and am looking forward to doing my first completion when one of my customers moves in to their new home. There is great job satisfaction in this role.
