Mark Ewing appointed to Group Finance Director role at Chartway Partnerships Group

Chartway Partnerships Group welcomes Mark Ewing to the role of Group Finance Director, moving over from sister company PSP.

Mark joined PSP, a strategic asset manager to the public sector, in early 2021 at the height of the pandemic as CFO to optimise corporate financial performance, deliver institutional level reporting and support the business on strategic growth opportunities. Mark brings 17 years of real estate experience to Chartway encompassing the residential and commercial sectors across FTSE 100 plcs, private equity owned businesses, government bodies, leading housing associations and SMEs.

Prior to PSP Mark was Head of Investment Finance at Clarion Housing Association, engaging in commercial finance negotiation / execution on land acquisition and structuring of joint ventures with developers and house builders.

In 2013, Mark was appointed as Finance Director at Berkeley Homes (London). During his time at Berkeley, Mark led the finance team during the development of large-scale residential projects in central and south London, including One Tower Bridge, South Quay Plaza, and Saffron Square in Croydon.

Mark’s move follows the recent appointment of Lauren Bovingdon as Head of Sustainability as the business steps up its drive to develop low energy homes and increase focus on ESG strategy for the Group.

As Group Finance Director Mark will initially be responsible for supporting the group’s land acquisition programme, enhancing reporting to providers of capital, implementing new IT systems and ensuring the finance team are embedded across the group.

Paul Safa, Group CFO, said: “We’re delighted to have Mark join Chartway as Group Finance Director. Mark’s experience in finance and investment working in blue-chip environments and with SME developers will add further strength to the existing team.

“Our growth plans for 2023 are ambitious and by having skilled and passionate new members of the team, we will be able to realise our expansion plans and create communities and new homes for everyone across a variety of tenure types.”

Mark Ewing said: “Chartway Partnerships Group is an exciting and innovative business with a positive culture. I’m looking forward to working with the highly skilled team and playing my role supporting the Group and subsidiary companies and also working with the Board to grow the business operating area and offer to the market.”
